Zorvec Vinabria

Zorvec Vinabria is an innovative fungicide specifically designed for the protection of grapevines against downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola). Formulated as a suspension emulsion (SE), it combines two synergistic active ingredients – zoxamide and oxathiapiprolin – offering systemic and translaminar action for preventive, curative, and eradicative control. Description

  • Active Ingredients:
    • Zoxamide – 300 g/l
    • Oxathiapiprolin – 40 g/l
  • Mode of Action:
Systemic and Translaminar: Once applied, Zorvec Vinabria is rapidly absorbed through the foliage and evenly translocated via the xylem, protecting both treated areas and emerging new growth.
Cell Division Inhibition: Zoxamide interferes with microtubule formation, thereby inhibiting fungal cell division, while oxathiapiprolin targets a novel biochemical site to prevent spore germination and fungal development.
Synergistic Effect: The combination of these actives delivers broad-spectrum control and minimizes resistance risk.
  • Usage:
    • Recommended for preventive application at the early onset of downy mildew, with additional curative applications if needed.
    • The recommended dosage is approximately 0.5–0.6 L/ha, diluted in 300–1200 L/ha of water.
    • A pre-harvest interval of 28 days is required.

Advantages:

  • Provides comprehensive protection through systemic and translaminar activity.
  • Highly effective against downy mildew even at low application rates.
  • Low risk of resistance development due to its dual mode of action.
